Bible advice for happiness

When someone is interviewed for a job, they commonly ask, What does the benefits package include? We would do well to consider a similar question about the value of living according to God’s wisdom. Since the wisdom of the world about a good life contrasts sharply with biblical teachings, we might ask: “What are the benefits?” That is, why should we seek to live in obedience to the instructions of the Bible advice for happiness? First, because in seeking the wisdom of God we will have deeper understanding and knowledge of the Lord. Our opinion of life is much better when we have a close relationship with the Father. He will give us the ability to see ourselves, others and circumstances as He would see them. As biblical principles permeate our minds they begin to shape our thinking and responses to all situations and challenges in life.
